The 2017 Western Riding Day Camp is now full.

Learn all facets of Western riding, gymkhana events, trail rides and basic horsemanship including grooming, sadding, stable management, horse care, feeding, and basic veterinary and farrier care. The camp is individualized to riders' abilities, and campers will have their own horses for the week.

The camp is led by Beth Hiatt, head of the Western Riding program at FVS. She attended college on a rodeo scholarship, and still competes in both rodeo and ranch horse versatility shows.

Campers will be provided lunch and snacks. Campers should wear blue jeans, chaps or riding breeches; paddock boots or riding boots. NO TENNIS SHOES! Riding helmets with safety harnesses are always required; we have some to use. Bring a swimsuit and towel for an afternoon dip in the pool.
