English Riding Day Camp

Camp Capacity: 10 (seven beginners, three advanced)
Director: Liz Bjorklund, FVS English Riding Assistant Director

Learn hunt seat riding from Liz Bjorklund, an FVS English riding coach and barn manager. The camp is highly individualized and intensive, and finishes with an exhibition for families. Campers also learn aspects of horsemanship including grooming, saddling, stable management, horse care, feeding, and basic veterinary and farrier care.
Regarding what to wear/bring:
Fitted shirts with long sleeves (no loose tank tops, etc)
Jeans or long fitted pants (not thin leggings)
Boots or close toed shoes with a heel -- no tennis shoes
Jacket (that can be removed via zipper; not over the head)
Water bottle
Riding helmets with safety harnesses are always required; we have some to use
Bring a swimsuit and towel for an afternoon dip in the pool.

Campers will be provided lunch and snacks.
