Vocal Music

Fountain Valley School of Colorado has three separate choirs—Concert Choir, Sly Dogs (boys select) and Do-Re-Migas (girls select). Two vocal and instrumental concerts are held each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Moreover, the choirs are central to the annual Winter Celebration event, and they often perform at All-Schools throughout the year. Music Director Charles Kurchinski combines traditional chorale selections with more current music when creating a program, and he always lets the singers in the Concert Choir choose one of their performed songs. Kurchinski also prepares students to audition for Colorado All-State choir.
