Alumni volunteers are a critical component of Alumni Association and the school’s outreach and “friendraising” programs.
These committees will offer alumni numerous ways to connect with one another, with the school, and with current faculty and students. All volunteer activities allow you to remain involved with the school and each other. We hope that our volunteers will be engaged, committed and enthusiastic about their work, and our entire Development Office staff is grateful for your participation and support.
Admission (VAN): The Volunteer Admission Network (VAN) provides opportunities for alumni to conduct off-campus student interviews, host admission events in your region, serve as an FVS ambassador at off-campus school fairs, and/or assist in contacting prospective families throughout the admission process.
Alumni Programming: The Advancement Department is always looking for alumni to host receptions, meet-ups and networking opportunities. There are opportunities both on and off campus such as speaking in the sciences or global studies departments, and mentoring current students or young alums on college or career choices.
Alumni Weekend: Assisting with Alumni Weekend planning offers alumni numerous ways to get involved with shaping their class’s reunion experience. Alumni celebrating a milestone reunion year have an opportunity to work with the school’s Advancement Department in developing components of their upcoming reunion.
If you are interested in becoming involved in any of the committees listed above, please email Director of Advancement Jesse Fortney '20 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
