FVS Rising: Our Plan for 20-21
The Health Center has adapted its facilities to serve our community and function safely in an environment where COVID-19 may be present. The Health Center is operating on it’s normal schedule, but is following a new protocol to help ensure that it remains COVID-free. Students seeking care or those requiring evaluation will be screened before entering the Health Center and may be directed to a different location on campus for further evaluation. In addition, the School has set up a quarantine area for students who are being evaluated for possible COVID-19 infection, and an isolation area for students who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Students will follow a quarantine or isolation protocol developed by the school in partnership with the El Paso County Department of Health.
Isolation at Home When Possible
In the event that a boarding student is diagnosed with COVID-19, the student will be expected to return home if their family lives within a day's drive of campus and remain there until they have recovered and are no longer a transmission risk. Students diagnosed with COVID-19 who live beyond a day's drive may return home at their family's discretion provided that they can make arrangements to safely do so.
