The perfect venue for training, competing, spectating, and simply having fun, FVS’s 60,000-square-foot Julie and Spencer Penrose Athletic Center includes a:
- 6,000-square-foot climbing gym–the biggest high school climbing facility in the U.S.
- 25-meter indoor pool with eight competition lanes
- 10,800-square-foot gymnasium including regulated basketball and volleyball courts
- 1/10th mile indoor track
- Strength training and performance center outfitted with Hammer Strength equipment, Life Fitness Treadmills, Concept II Rowing ergometers, Cybex ARC, and Life Fitness ellipticals
- Spin room with 21 bikes
- On-site trainer and training room complete with ice baths

Tracks, Fields, Arenas, Courts & Prairies
FVS’s 1,100-acre rolling Prairie campus includes eight outdoor tennis courts, grass fields for soccer, lacrosse, and other sports, an outdoor running track, indoor and outdoor equestrian arenas, and 15 miles of riding, hiking, and biking trails.
Equestrian Arena
Indoors and outdoors, the accommodations for horse and rider at FVS–home to one of the largest indoor arenas in the State–are extensive and include a:
