Explore some of the most spectacular scenery and pristine wilderness in the Rocky Mountains while developing mountaineering, camping, backcountry safety and orienteering skills. You’ll find yourself on challenging weekend trips conquering fourteeners, rock climbing and off-trail scrambling. On-campus sessions during the week work to improve strength, flexibility and endurance. The Athletic Center gives you workout opportunities that include spin sessions, weight lifting, swimming and more. You’ll also head to nearby mountain trails to hike and run. Weekend adventures may include a ski/snowshoe excursion to Section House hut atop snowy Boreas Pass, a mountain bike trip riding the smooth single track of Fruita, and trail work in the Garden of the Gods.
