Scholarships

Fountain Valley School offers two merit-based scholarships designed to assist academically-motivated and community-minded students obtain an FVS education.
The Head's Scholarship
The Head’s Scholarship at Fountain Valley School is awarded to an incoming ninth grade boarding student from Colorado*, Montana, and Texas who exhibits strength in character, leadership aptitude, a commitment to learning, and a demonstrated desire to reach their individual potential as a student and community member. Recipients will express a genuine enthusiasm for joining a diverse, inclusive, and energetic community of learners at Fountain Valley.
Recipients of The Head’s Scholarship will be awarded their grant amount for their four (4) years as an FVS student. During their time at FVS, Head’s Scholarship recipients are expected to be leaders in the community, making positive contributions to the School while serving as models for their peers in academic, athletic, residential life, and co-curricular activities.
*Colorado Head's Scholarships are awarded to boarding candidates who live more than a 60-minute drive from campus.
All 9th grade applications (submitted by December 15th) will be automatically considered for the Head’s Scholarship. No additional materials or requirements are needed.
Summit Scholarship
Fountain Valley School offers merit-based Summit Scholarships* ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 per year.
All applicants will be automatically considered for the Summit Scholarship, regardless of grade level. Selection of Summit Scholars is based on academic credentials, intellectual curiosity, extracurricular engagement, and leadership potential. No additional materials are required for this scholarship; decisions will be based on the information provided in the student’s admission file. Summit Scholarships are awarded at the same time as admission decisions (released on both January 10th for Early Action applicants and March 10th for Regular Notification).
*Summit Scholarships are available to domestic boarding and day applicants.
