A Fountain Valley School education is an investment in your child's future, and we strive to make it affordable to all students regardless of their ability to pay. Both need-based and merit-based scholarships are available, and 41% of FVS students are currently receiving aid. Your tuition covers such things as class retreats, Western Immersion Program for sophomores, dining, day student transportation, the yearbook and much more!

Additional/Optional Fees (2019-20)

Academic Skills Instructional Program Fee (limited enrollment): $6,250

Miscellaneous Fees (including Interim, room key deposit, supplies and allowance, and personal athletic equipment): $2,300-6,800

Skiing: $350/season (not including ski pass or equipment rental)
Horseback Riding: $50-500/month
Hockey Team: $3,000/program plus travel fee of $2,500 
Outdoor Education: $350/season
Climbing: $350/season
Mountain Biking: $350/season
 
Testing (AP, ACT, SAT, PSAT) Fee: $15-100/test

Books are ordered separately by the family either from MBS Direct or other sources. The total cost for books can range from $400-$1,700.
