Afternoons, evenings, and weekends are full of opportunities for students to pursue their passions, learn new skills, and experience adventure.

We encourage students to take advantage of all that FVS has to offer through two daily activity blocks, evening programming, and our weekend excursions. Colorado Springs—consistently ranked among the U.S. News’ Top 10 Best Places to Live—and Denver are easily accessible for sporting and cultural events, museums, shopping, and more.

During the week, our entire community gathers every evening for fun, local outings, or friendly competitions. Whether on- or off-campus, our evening events are for making summer memories with friends! From hiking onto the Prairie to watch fireworks, to earning dorm points in our silly games night, to checking out the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade, our weeknight events build community.

Weekend Adventures

All-school off-campus excursions take place each weekend. Colorado Springs and surrounds host myriad opportunities to immerse in the natural beauty of the American West, or to experience city life and attractions. Highlights include hiking in Garden of the Gods, ziplining over Royal Gorge, white water rafting on the Arkansas river, or heading to Denver to visit Meow Wolf and catch a Colorado Rockies game.
