Fountain Valley School recognized a remarkable group of alumni and community members during its annual Alumni Awards Ceremony on May 30, 2026 celebrating leadership, service, philanthropy, professional achievement, and lifelong dedication to the School.

The 2026 award recipients represent generations of Danes whose accomplishments reflect the values of courage, curiosity, compassion, and service that define the Fountain Valley experience.

Maggie Hanna '07 received the Young Alumni Award for her leadership in conservation and agriculture, including her work as Director of the Central Grasslands Roadmap Initiative and her advocacy on behalf of ranchers and wildland preservation efforts.

Doug Eberhart '76 was honored with the Robert S. Thompson '44 Memorial Class Agent of the Year Award for nearly five decades of dedication to keeping classmates connected and engaged with Fountain Valley School.

Diana Wilson Gray '84 received the W. Jerome Frautschi '49 Casa Serena Award in recognition of her 29 years of philanthropic leadership and steadfast support of the School.

Davis Tutt '11 earned the Lewis Perry Jr. Alumni Award for his service to Fountain Valley as a trustee and community ambassador, helping strengthen ties between the School and the Colorado Springs community.

A new honor, the Great Dane Award, was presented to David Street '61 in recognition of an extraordinary 64 years of giving and service to Fountain Valley School.

The School also awarded an Honorary Diploma to Colonel John McKay '62 for a distinguished lifetime of military service, leadership, mentorship, and support of the Fountain Valley community.

Emilie Hoyt '93, founder and owner of LATHER and former trustee, received the Elizabeth Froelicher Smith Distinguished Service Award for her exceptional leadership and commitment to advancing the mission of the School. 

The Distinguished Alumni Award was presented to Morgan Smith '56, a former Colorado public servant, attorney, writer, and humanitarian whose work supporting migrants along the U.S.-Mexico border exemplifies the values of global citizenship and compassion.

The ceremony also welcomed new members into the Fountain Valley School Arts Guild and Athletic Hall of Fame.

Arts Guild inductees included country music artist Ian Munsick '11, whose career has brought the spirit of the American West to audiences nationwide, and visual artist Molly Gochman '96, whose work combines art, activism, and community engagement.

The Athletic Hall of Fame honored Ryder Conroy '11 for his contributions to Fountain Valley ice hockey, David Hart '85 for his achievements in mountaineering, and Minnie Goodblanket '98 for her outstanding field hockey career.

Together, this year's honorees represent the many ways Fountain Valley alumni continue to make an impact in their professions, communities, and the wider world while remaining connected to the School and its mission.
