To honor the arts this spring, Fountain Valley School proudly presented an Arts Showcase on Friday, May 16, beginning with the presentation of Fine and Performing Arts awards in the Chapel.

 

FVS's 2023-24 Award recipients included:

Visual Arts Awards Megan S. '24 Ethan H. '25 Acting Award Katie B. '26

Director's Award Jay M. '26 Technical Theater Award Josh W. '24 Vocal Award Riho K. '24

 

Also recognized were this year's Athenaea literary magazine co-editors, Will G. '24, Brynn J. '25, and Sofia B-C. '25. Will had the honor of reading the Spring 2024 Athenaea dedication aloud. In addition, the magazine's Faculty Advisor Dave Reynolds introduced two new co-editors, Stella R. '26 and Emily S. '26, who will be assisting Brynn and Sofia next academic year. 

Following the presentation of awards, faculty and students were treated to live performances, including several original compositions, from vocalists and musicians in the School's Choir and Instrumental Ensembles.

The evening concluded with a formal advisory dinner in the Dining Hall, and dessert along with a student art exhibition in the Art Barn’s Bedford Gallery.
