Four Fountain Valley School of Colorado students are headed to Southern California March 17-26 for the Regional Round Square of the Americas Conference.

Fountain Valley School is in its third year as a member of Round Square, a consortium of more than 100 independent schools around the globe that offers amazing opportunities for students of member schools. FVS is one of just nine member schools in the United States.

Mattie Gallagher '17, Frank Olivieri-Barton '17, Abby Roubal '17 and Ivy Zhang '18 are the FVS participants for the conference, hosted by Round Square partner Chadwick School in Palos Verdes, Calif. All four submitted applications that were reviewed by the FVS Global Education Committee.

Fellow students at the conference will come from Round Square schools in Canada, the United States, Central and South America. The conference theme is "Shine Among the Stars," and it will have opportunities to foster individual and communal strengths, create an environment for fun adventures, engage participants in impactful environmental activities, and partake in rewarding service opportunities.

During the conference, students live with Chadwick families. Because this is an international immersive experience for FVS students, this trip can replace Interim, which also occurs in March. History faculty Simon Walker is the FVS delegation leader.
