|  | The Strategic Plan is the distillation of ideas, collaboration and research from a year-long process involving the Board of Trustees, faculty and administration. It was ratified May 18, 2010, and will guide the direction of the School over the next five years.
The vision for the plan is to elevate Fountain Valley School's education program and financial capacity to secure our position as the premier Western boarding school. |

- Strengthen the alignment of advancement resources, alumni class agents and admission marketing to support fundraising and enrollment
- Share the needs of the School with all constituents in seeking major gifts
- Launch a capital campaign to build a new athletic facility, and increase endowments for financial aid, faculty and programmatic support

- Broaden professional development opportunities to include mentoring, sharing of best practices, visitations and conferences
- Build a more diverse faculty community that closely mirrors the student community
- Develop a comprehensive management program that rewards excellent work, and both recognizes and honors outstanding faculty through the establishment of endowed chairs

 | Financial Condition Fortify our balance sheet while making available the resources necessary to meet enrollment, faculty and program expectations, and optimize school assets. 
- Create a broad-based risk management review, including financial, program, facility and human resource areas
- Introduce a comprehensive land management program that examines land use and creates a sustainable stewardship program
- Plan for capital needs and implement a program to optimize all campus assets
