|  | Meet The Advancement Office The FVS Institutional Advancement Office is located in the Joel Webb Administration Building.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on weekdays from September to July. Office Hours in the summer vary (8-3:30 in July and 8-4 in August until two weeks prior to the beginning of the School when regular hours go into effect). |
Joy KliewerDirector of Institutional Advancement 719.391.5252 UC Irvine - B.A. UCLA - M.A. Claremont Graduate University - Ph.D. Kliewer comes to FVS from Pitzer College where she served as associate vice president for college advancement for the last three years. Earlier she was the director of alumni and donor relations for five years at Claremont Graduate University. She has written widely on educational topics and alumni activities and has been active in numerous university and community associations. She and her husband, Todd, both California born, now live in Colorado Springs. |
 Sheila CollinsAnnual Giving Assistant Advancement Office Administrative Assistant 719.391.5226 Sheila works closely with the director of advancement and serves as a senior administrative assistant to the Advancement Office. She also works closely with the headmaster and the assistant to the headmaster. Her primary responsibility is to manage the gift and pledge module of the development database (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge) which involves the processing of all gifts and pledges received by the School. Prior to FVS, she spent 13 years at U.S. Figure Skating as the advertising manager for the organization’s official publication, SKATING, and as the corporate sponsorship assistant servicing nine corporate partners. Her son Austin is a member of FVS Class of 2016. |
 Laura FawcettCo-Director of Communications 719.391.5258 California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo - B.S. Georgia State University - M.S. Laura works closely with fellow co-director of communications Jeanne Olive to oversee all aspects of FVS communications and marketing. Her primary responsibility is the FVS web site, and she also contributes to the School’s marketing efforts and publications. She has worked primarily in the sports industry, with athletic media relations jobs at St. Lawrence University and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Prior to FVS, she spent eight years at U.S. Figure Skating overseeing publications and the web site. She has worked at three Olympic Games (two as a press officer and one as an information manager). Laura is the official statistician for Air Force Academy home football games, and she occasionally freelances for SKATING magazine as a writer. She and her husband, Adam Curry, live in Colorado Springs with their dog, Bailey, and cat, Chance. |

 Kristen MeierhoffDirector of Annual Giving 719.391.5314 New Mexico State University - B.A. Meierhoff works closely with both Joy Kliewer and Kate Faricy Maiurro in their respective roles to foster a positive alumni experience. Her primary duty is the operation of the Annual Fund campaign. She brings with her a professional background in fundraising and public administration including work for the Diocese of Las Cruces, the New Mexico State University Foundation, and the United States Senate, Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. She holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology and is currently a master's degree candidate in public administration. Meierhoff and her family reside in Colorado Springs. Originally from Kansas, she states that the FVS community and campus '"feel like home." |
 Jeanne OliveCo-Director of Communications South Perry Houseparent 719.391.5262 University of Minnesota - B.A. Jeanne works closely with fellow co-director of communications Laura Fawcett to oversee all aspects of FVS communications and marketing. Her primary responsibilities are publications (including the alumni magazine, the Bulletin) and public relations, and she also contributes to the School’s web site. She has more than 25 years of editing/writing/marketing experience for national companies and organizations. Past projects include writing Olympic bid books for two U.S. cities. Her son Henry is a 2008 graduate of FVS, and daughter Lucy is in the Class of 2011.
