Fountain Valley School offers riders (or wanna-be- riders), ages 9-15, a unique opportunity to learn all the facets of hunt seat riding and horsemanship; including grooming, saddling, stable management, horse care, feeding, and basic veterinary and farrier care. The camp is individualized and intensive due to the limited enrollment of only 12 students. All students will be under the training and supervision of the professional staff at Fountain Valley School. Indoor riding arena allows year-round riding!
Participants need to be dropped off daily at 9 a.m. and picked up promptly at 3:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Campers will be provided lunch and snacks. Campers should wear blue jeans, chaps or riding breeches; paddock boots or riding boots. NO TENNIS SHOES! Riding helmets with safety harnesses are always required; we have some to use. Campers should also bring a swimsuit and towel for an afternoon dip in the pool.
The $400 fee includes daily riding lessons, lectures and demonstrations, lunch, swimming and T-shirt. |
